Ok, so we were driving around an unfamiliar city on vacation looking for something interesting to eat after hiking around outside and getting nice and tired/hungry/sweaty. I don't know much Japanese, but I saw this place and knew the name translated as "delicious." I love Japanese food, as do my wife and children. So we decided to give this place a try, and I'm so glad we did! I had spicy pork ramen (extra spicy), and my wife had teriyaki ramen. We also got calamari, edamame, and gyoza as appetizers. The kids split an order of chicken teriyaki. Everything was outstanding! Our server was polite, friendly, and attentive without being annoying or pushy. And it was all quite reasonably priced. I was more than impressed, and I wish I lived nearby so I could make this place a regular dinner stop. If we find ourselves back in this area, we'll stop in again for sure!
In my opinion this is one of the best ramen places in the midwest. I travel over an hr to come eat Ramen here. The rest of the menu items are delicious as well.
My husband and I just had food from here for the first time tonight and we are so glad we did! This is some of the best Japanese food we've ever had. Everything we had was excellent but we particularly enjoyed the takoyaki and fried tofu bun appetizers. Reasonable prices and good portion sizes. We will absolutely be back here in the near future!
I just discovered this place last week and I’m going again today, third day in a row!! It’s really good!! Have had the crispy chicken and pork belly with the spicy and with the tonkotso broth. Fried tofu is soo good!! I can’t wait for dine in to be open!!
We had the Beef Tonkatsu, "Spicy" Beef, "Spicy" Shrimp (pictured above), and "Spicy" Teriyaki Pork Ramen (below). Delicious noodles and broth was light, but flavorful. Ramen wasnt spicy, but you can taste the chili garlic sauce, yummy. You dont feel bloated afterwards! If youre ordering appetizers, the Jalapenos sound good, but arent spicy at all. They were also very crunchy... Stick to ordering the gyozas, cant go wrong with that! Definitely will go here again for the ramen!! 💕
I feel like this place is a secret gem but I suspect it’s not a secret to locals. Real food including handmade tortillas and homemade lard dough tamales. I had the barbacoa machete.
The most pleasant restaurant experience I've had in 2020. The Tofu Bun was my personal favorite, but all of the food we had was absolutely fantastic! The service was just as amazing! 10/10 I would definitely recommend!
My husband and I have been craving ramen.and without having to go into the cities for it we found this gem! We have been here at least a half of dozen times. With every visit the consistency remains the same. Love thier ramen! It's so fresh and you know they have to make thier noodles in house! We always get there crab stuffed jalapenos to start. Hubby usually gets the chasu spicy ramen and I always change it up but more recently had the Dan Dan noodles which is a spicy ramen. It has ground pork. Everything is good about this place. You need to go check them out!
Fabulous! Many options - something for everyone. Flavors are fresh and delicious.
Perfect addition to Savage! The ramen broth was flavorful and the veggies in it were really fresh. The tofu bun was absolutely amazing, I’ll be thinking about that tofu bun for a long time.... probably until I go get another one!The restaurant was remodeled well (it’s in the old Which Wich space) with lots of seating and modern decor. I will definitely be back!
If you are looking for an authentic Japanese experience be sure to hit up this place. Their ramen has all the right elements to whisk you away to away to a Japanese cafe. Make sure to give the takoyaki at least one try. It's quite the experience.
Such friendly servers and cute restaurant. We don't have many ethnic delicious restaurants and I was excited to see this open up. Support small businesses! The ramen and sticky bun are excellent.
Absolutely amazing! I'm going to Japan this weekend, and I don't expect the food to be much different. Service was equally great. This will be a new favorite.Edit: stopped in post Japan trip. The ramen is actually better than some of the shops we visited in Tokyo. And the donburi is perfect.
My husband and I visited Oishii tonight. We did not really know what we wanted but our waitress was there with helpful suggestions! We were not disappointed at all! Delicious food and amazing staff! We will definitely be back and plan to bring extended family as well! Great date night for us!
Great food! The Ramen portion is huge I could barely finish it. I had the chicken bun appetizer also it was delicious. I don’t go out to many Asian places but I heard a lot of buzz and it’s all true. Excellent service and very nice and clean inside. Very , very good .
We recently visited and tried the pork charshu donburi and the beef donburi( loved this one the best... a little sweetness to it). Both were great! I recommend both. We tried the pork bun too. Loved it!! We will be back!
